Umicore recognised as Top 100 Best Business Company to work for in Korea
The Korean Ministry of Employment and Labour honoured Umicore for its high quality job offering in Korea. Jee Jung-Seok, General Manager Rechargeable Battery Materials Korea, received the ‘Top 100 Best Business Company Certification’ from Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-Yeon at the award ceremony on 28 June in the Blue House in Seoul, Korea.
Launched this year, the certification aims to encourage companies to increase the quantity and quality of jobs in Korea and fits in a series of efforts by the Korean government to address the historically high unemployment rate.
Umicore Korea met the selection criteria of the field assessment. With its investments in the cathode materials plant in Cheonan Umicore has created many jobs and offers high quality jobs in terms of job security, work-life balance as well as a comprehensive benefits & development programme.
