Umicore's sites lead the way in giving back this holiday season
The end-of-year festivities are traditionally a time for giving, not only to loved ones but also to the people and planet. At Umicore, we are proud to participate in this tradition, with many of our colleagues choosing to donate to charity or volunteer during the festive season.
As the days get colder, our colleagues strive to bring warmth to underserved communities. From organizing local Christmas markets and quizzes at the sites in Belgium and Germany, to proudly supporting national and local charities such as De Warmste Week and Freunde und Förderer Lamboy/Tümpelgarten e.V.
This includes our colleagues in Korea, who continue their tradition of giving back through various social initiatives. The past months they delivered lunchboxes to elderly individuals living alone, volunteered at a soup kitchen, and engaged in gardening activities and plogging to foster greener and cleaner surroundings.
A big thank you to our colleagues for donating so generously and to all the Umicore helpers and volunteers who made the Christmas markets and other donation programs a success!
