Umicore announces changes to its Management Board
On the proposal of the newly appointed CEO Bart Sap, Umicore has nominated Jensen Verhelle as Executive Vice President of the Catalysis Business Group and member of the Management Board, effective May 16th, 2024.
Jensen Verhelle joined Umicore in September 2008 and has since held positions in finance, product management, operations and R&D within several of Umicore’s business units, including Electro-Optic Materials, Cobalt Specialty Materials as well as Precious Metals Chemistry. Since 2023 he served as Senior Vice President Automotive Catalysts and Strategic Procurement.

Frank Daufenbach, Chief Strategy Officer is leaving Umicore. Frank’s responsibilities will be reallocated among Umicore’s Management Board members.
“Frank has been an important member of our Management Board since he joined the company in 2021 and I would like to thank him for his contributions. He further developed Umicore’s digitalization roadmap and helped shape our efficiency mindset,” said Bart Sap.

Sur proposition du nouveau CEO Bart Sap, Umicore a nommé Jensen Verhelle au poste d'Executive Vice President du Business Group Catalysis et membre du Comité de direction, avec effet au 16 mai 2024.
Jensen Verhelle a rejoint Umicore en septembre 2008 et a depuis occupé des postes dans les domaines de la finance, de la gestion des produits, des opérations et de la R&D au sein de plusieurs business units d'Umicore, notamment Electro-Optic Materials, Cobalt Specialty Materials et Precious Metals Chemistry. Depuis 2023, il occupe le poste de Senior Vice President Automotive Catalysts and Strategic Procurement.

Frank Daufenbach, Chief Strategy Officer, quitte Umicore. Les responsabilités de Frank seront réattribuées aux membres du Comité de direction d'Umicore.
« Frank a été un membre important de notre Comité de direction depuis qu'il a rejoint l'entreprise en 2021 et je tiens à le remercier pour sa contribution. Il a poursuivi le développement de la feuille de route d'Umicore en matière de digitalisation et a contribué à façonner notre état d'esprit en matière d'efficacité », a déclaré Bart Sap.

Op voorstel van de nieuwbenoemde CEO Bart Sap, heeft Umicore Jensen Verhelle benoemd tot Executive Vice President van de Catalysis Business Group en lid van de directieraad, met ingang van 16 mei 2024.
Jensen Verhelle startte in september 2008 bij Umicore en bekleedde sindsdien functies in financiën, product management, operations en R&D binnen verschillende business units van Umicore, waaronder Electro-Optic Materials, Cobalt Specialty Materials en Precious Metals Chemistry. Sinds 2023 was hij Senior Vice President Automotive Catalysts en Strategic Procurement.
“Ik ben verheugd Jensen te verwelkomen in de directieraad. Ik kijk uit naar zijn leiderschap van de Catalysis Business Group en het bestendigen van de sterke operationele, financiële en veiligheidsprestaties. Frank Daufenbach, Chief Strategy Officer, verlaat Umicore. Frank's verantwoordelijkheden zullen herverdeeld worden onder de leden van de directieraad van Umicore.
“Frank is een belangrijk lid geweest van onze directieraad sinds hij toetrad tot het bedrijf in 2021 en ik wil hem bedanken voor zijn bijdrage. Hij heeft de digitaliseringsroutekaart van Umicore verder ontwikkeld en bijgedragen aan de vormgeving van ons efficiëntiedenken,” zei Bart Sap.
