As population centers grow, waste-to-energy solutions offer a vital power resource while reducing the need for more landfills.

These units face unique challenges, including the constantly shifting waste streams used as fuel and the lower catalyst temperatures downstream of the baghouse, which add complexity to efficient operation.

DNX (DeNOx) and DNO (dual function NOx, CO and VOC) catalysts have excellent resistance to ammonium bisulfate (ABS) which can be formed due to SO2/SO3 present in the flue gas at lower temperatures.

DNX® and DNO catalysts also oxidize gaseous dioxins and furans (PCDD/PCDF). These toxic substances are often formed during the incineration of waste, but the DNX® and DNO catalysts can ensure dioxin and furan destruction efficiencies close to 100%.
