What you will be doing:

• You will be responsible for procurement projects in your own subdomain (products and/or services);
• You manage contracts in your subdomains: you help your internal business partners in drafting the best possible agreement for Umicore, you take the lead in its negotiations, you manage the administrative side, and you follow up on contract performance and renewals.
• You will be supported by your colleagues and manager when assigned a more complex project.
• Although you will be based in Poland your geographical scope is international.
• You execute annual contract renewals.
• You make total cost of ownership analyses and use these as a basis for negotiations.
• You analyze the IT spend, evaluate suppliers and their performance and track your added value as a buyer.
• You are a part of sourcing and user teams in order to optimize our support to our business partners.
• You keep an eye on evolutions in the IT market.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a colleague who ideally matches the following requirements:

• You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in a commercial, business, economic, IT or technical area (or equivalent through experience).
• You have a commercial mindset and get a lot of energy from negotiations.
• You are diplomatic.
•  You have a “can-do” mentality.
• You have sound knowledge of or have a keen interest in everything that is IT-related. You enjoy familiarizing yourself with market evolutions, new trends and technologies. In fact, there should be a (little) IT nerd inside of you.
• You can work independently.
• You have experience with IT applications such as SAP Ariba, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI.
• English - C1
• It’s a great plus if you already have some experience as an IT buyer.
