What you will be doing

1. Monitor, interpret, and assess existing or emerging EHS related laws, regulations, and standards, determine operational and business impacts, and develop, integrate, communicate, and execute strategies to effectively manage EHS outcomes. Implementation Umicore Group EHS requirements including policies, guidance, standards procedures and initiatives.

2. Manages and reports on EHS key performance indicators for UFCC. 

3  Draft or develop EHS related procedures as required, i.e work permit incident reporting and RCA, process safety management etc.

4  Contractor management: oversee EHS requirements for contractors and vendors ensure their compliance with safety regulations.

5 Compile and submit all required EHS reports to regulatory agencies and fulfil  all EHS group reporting requirements.

6  Lead the EHS training/coaching and coordinate all emergency response activities, organize drills as required. Arrange EHS induction training for new employees , conduct safety education for employees regularly. Organize EHS professional training and publicity at all levels to enhance the prevention awareness  and professional level of all departments.

7 Lead accident  investigations to ensure root cause identification and corrective action plan development. Track corrective actions, routinely provide status report to management.

8  Work closely with other departments to assess the safety risks and provide technical support to eliminate/mitigate the risks. Support and participate in relevant  risk analysis  of operation safety such as MOC, JSRA, PSSR, HAZOP etc, check the quality of it and ensure all are implemented.

9  Conduct daily/routine EHS inspections to identify the potential hazards, requesting team to take the corrective and preventive actions, and tracking the progress. Drive continuous improvement in EHS risk reduction.

10 Develop ISO 14001/45001 system for certification and continuously improvement

11 Support QEHS manager for other EHS related affairs. Fulfil the responsibility of 《中华人民共和国安全生产法》Chapter 2 item 25

Who we are looking for

1)University bachelor in Chemical, Safety Engineering, or related.

2) More than 5 years working experiences in Chemical, Petrochemical or Pharmaceutical industries.

3)Familiar with risk assessment tools of HAZOP, LOPA, JSRA etc, and process safety management.

4) Certified safety engineer is required (注册安全工程师-化工)

5)  good English skill in writing and reading, good oral English skills is a plus

6)  good communication and interpersonal skills

7) Familiar with office software, especially for Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint;
