What you will be doing

As a Cathode Production Supervisor at UBM Korea in Cheonan, your primary role will be to lead our production team to meet the demands set by Site Planning. You will be instrumental in promoting continuous improvement and ensuring adherence to our EHS practices. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Production Management
    • Manage shift leaders to achieve the required product mix and volume as per Site Planning.
    • Organize and oversee production activities across four shifts, managing resources effectively in collaboration with shift leaders.
    • Lead KPI management related to production and collaborate with Production Engineers and Technicians to drive improvements.
    • Coordinate maintenance activities with the Asset Management team, setting priorities to ensure smooth operation.
  2. Safety and Quality Compliance
    • Enforce EHS guidelines vigorously and contribute to enhancing our safety and environmental culture.
    • Address production malfunctions promptly in collaboration with Asset Management, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to safety standards.
    • Manage Work in Process (WIP) materials to minimize losses and maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
    • Ensure that all production activities comply with established procedures, work descriptions, control plans, and documentation to maintain quality and safety.
  3. Team Collaboration and Process Improvement
    • Work closely with Production Engineers, Technicians, and the QEHS Coordinator to foster process improvements and ensure seamless production operations.

 

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, mechanics, materials, or industrial processes.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a relevant field, with proven leadership experience.
  • Solid understanding of EHS guidelines and quality system requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Positive attitude and flexibility to adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work primarily on the shop floor.
